A modern, boutique law firm is entering an exciting phase of strategic growth and is seeking an experienced Head of Commercial Property to lead and develop a core practice area.

This is a senior leadership position working closely with the management team to shape the future direction and growth of the Commercial Property department.
The Role
You will have full responsibility for leading the Commercial Property function, combining hands-on fee earning with strategic, operational and people leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day management and development of the Commercial Property department
- Supervision, mentoring and performance management of fee earners
- Driving departmental financial performance, billing and cashflow
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, risk and quality standards (including Lexcel)
- Building and maintaining a strong personal caseload
- Identifying and developing new commercial opportunities
- Cross-referring work across the wider firm
- Leading business development and marketing activity for the department
About You
You will be a highly capable Commercial Property solicitor with the gravitas and ambition to lead.
You will bring:
- 8+ years PQE in Commercial Property
- Demonstrable experience leading or growing a team or department
- Strong commercial awareness and market insight
- The ability to generate and sustain work independently
- Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills
