Sourcing Specialist 1 - Stafford

Role description:

Working hours: 08 30
Salary: Up to £30,000
Type: Hybrid (On-site, with 1 day work from home on a rota basis (Fridays)
Contract (Inside IR35)

Requirements: Must hold a valid driving licence and be able to travel if required

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Engineering & Quality functions to expedite critical documentation

• Coordinate supplier deviations (NCP/NCR) and assess impact on SQDC targets

• Process NCs and maintain records in Smartsheets and ERP

• Assist in expediting repaired component returns and manage supplier claims (COPQ)

• Issue contractual letters to suppliers for quality issues

• Conduct supplier visits to monitor progress and strengthen relationships

• Manage import processes and customs clearance as required

The Person:

• 1 3 years experience in procurement or purchasing (direct materials preferred)

• Understanding of logistics and imports; customs clearance and freight knowledge a plus

• Strong analytical, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills

• Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams

• Proficient in Excel and procurement systems (SAP desirable)

• Commercial awareness of pay terms, warranties, and delivery commitments

• Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all levels

• Willing to travel as required and hold a valid driving licence
