Permanent - Full Time

Dayshifts 6am to 2pm

We are working with a leading bus Company and our engineering teams are working at the forefront of bus technology.

About the Role - Skilled Mechanic (PSV/HGV)

Do you want to be part of our energetic team of HGV/PSV/bus mechanical engineers and Supervisor maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses?

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Manage the team of engineers
• Diagnose and carry out Bous and coaches vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
• Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
• Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using hand held data capture devices if applicable
• Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair

Hours: 40 per week on a late weekly shift pattern of 5 days - with every other Saturday paid at premium rate for any weekend working.

About you

• Do you have at minimum a Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent qualification as a HGV/PSV or bus mechanic?
• Do you have a flexible approach to working hours?
• A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential (we will help you obtain this)
• Must have a valid UK driver's licence
• Experience of working with buses & coaches would be an advantage, but any vehicle mechanic experience will be considered (HGV)
