The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Birmingham area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.
Hours:
Trunking - Monday to Friday (21:00pm start)
Linehaul - Saturday (2am start)
Pay Rate:
Class 1 Trunking - £15.36 per hour PAYE
Linehaul - £17.75 per hour PAYE
Location: Unit 1, First Avenue, Off Forge Lane, Minworth, Birmingham B76 1BA
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role:
Class 1 Shunter:
Performing shunting in the yard (must be competent at reversing), you will also be required to collect freight for the Inverness route
Class 1 Linehaul:
Trunking a local route covering Redditch and Coventry hub and Birmingham Depot (18:30pm start)
Linehaul route to to Carlisle (2am start)
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- 6 months minimum experience required
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
Excellent communication skills.
