Agency Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Agency Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in need. This role involves working across a variety of settings, including assisted living services and private homes, supporting individuals to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medication in line with prescriptions and agreed care plans
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support clients with daily living activities while promoting independence
• Assist with mobility and manual handling, including heavy lifting when required
• Implement behaviour management strategies for individuals with challenging behaviours
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, reporting any changes in condition
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including nurses and senior staff

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in patient care, supported living, or assisted living environments
• Competent in medication administration and understanding care protocols
• Knowledge of dietary needs and meal preparation
• Ability to safely carry out manual handling and heavy lifting
• Experience using behaviour management techniques (e.g. PMVA, MAPA, NAPPI)
• First Aid certification is highly desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A caring, patient, and empathetic approach with a genuine passion for helping others
