The Role
We are recruiting for a Centre Manager (Maternity Cover) to take ownership of a flagship workspace in Birmingham. As Centre Manager, you will be the face of the centre and the primary point of contact for members, guests, and visitors.
Reporting into senior operations leadership, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding member experience while overseeing day-to-day operations, community engagement, and service standards. You will lead an on-site team and work closely with sales, marketing, and operations to ensure the space is vibrant, welcoming, and commercially successful.
This role is ideal for someone from a hospitality, coworking, retail or service-led background who enjoys being at the heart of a business.
Key Responsibilities
Community & Member Engagement
Act as the main point of contact for all member needs and enquiries, providing timely and solutions-focused support
Build strong relationships to foster a thriving, inclusive community
Lead onboarding for new members, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience
Plan and deliver member events, networking sessions, and wellbeing initiatives
Work with marketing to increase social media visibility and member engagement
Facilitate introductions between members to encourage collaboration
Manage member communications including newsletters and digital platforms
Develop local partnerships to enhance the member experience
Stay informed on local competitors and market trends
Sales & Tours
Deliver engaging and professional tours to prospective members
Work closely with the sales team to support occupancy and commercial targets
Represent the brand with professionalism and energy at all times
Operations & Service Delivery
Oversee day-to-day centre operations including front-of-house, cleaning, maintenance, and contractors
Ensure the workspace is consistently presented to a high standard
Support health & safety, security, and policy compliance
Manage access control systems and member technology platforms
Provide hands-on leadership support, including covering team absences when required
Report on performance, service standards, and member feedback
