We are supporting a client within the M&E and electrical services sector who is looking to appoint an M&E Quantity Surveyor at either Senior, depending on experience. This role is suited to an electrically biased M&E QS with a strong understanding of electrical services and commercial management within live M&E environments.
The RoleYou will be responsible for the commercial management of electrical and M&E packages, working closely with engineering and delivery teams on technically complex projects across the UK and Europe.
Key responsibilities include:
Commercial management of M&E / electrical services packages
Cost control, valuations, variations and final accounts
Contract review and risk identification
Assessment and mitigation of commercial and contractual risk
Supporting project teams with commercial strategy and reporting
Electrically biased M&E Quantity Surveyor
Strong technical understanding of:
Small power & lighting
Submains
LV & HV installations
Background working on the tools is advantageous but not essential
Data Centre (DC) experience beneficial but not required
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
Comfortable reviewing contracts and managing commercial risk
Able to work independently and take ownership of projects (level dependent)
Base location: Essex
European travel: Infrequent and planned, typically 1 2 nights for key meetings
Regions: France, Sweden and Germany
All travel and accommodation fully covered
Salary Circa £130,000, dependent on experience
