Responsibilities
- Review current whole platform maintenance solutions.
- Analyse availability and failure date to define root cause.
- Conduct in depth RCM studies on all systems.
- Work closely with platform staff and SMEs.
- Ensure compliance with MOD and naval standards throughout the change process.
Qualifications
- Qualified Marine Engineer.
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
- Additional naval or defence related qualifications are advantageous.
Essential skills
- Knowledge of Sub surface Platforms.
- Significant experience in defence naval operations and marine engineering.
- Deep understanding of RCM and FMECA.
- Understanding of Marine Maintenance Software.
- Strong coordination and administrative skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage complex operational activities under pressure.
- Strong understanding of ship systems and equipment.
- Strong understanding of MOD and Naval Standards.
Desired skills
- Knowledge of Surface Platforms.
Experience
- Petty Officer grade or above with relevant experience.
- Experience working with naval clients or in a defence consultancy environment.
