Responsibilities
  • Review current whole platform maintenance solutions.
  • Analyse availability and failure date to define root cause.
  • Conduct in depth RCM studies on all systems.
  • Work closely with platform staff and SMEs.
  • Ensure compliance with MOD and naval standards throughout the change process.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Marine Engineer.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
  • Additional naval or defence related qualifications are advantageous.
Essential skills
  • Knowledge of Sub surface Platforms.
  • Significant experience in defence naval operations and marine engineering.
  • Deep understanding of RCM and FMECA.
  • Understanding of Marine Maintenance Software.
  • Strong coordination and administrative skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage complex operational activities under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of ship systems and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of MOD and Naval Standards.
Desired skills
  • Knowledge of Surface Platforms.
Experience
  • Petty Officer grade or above with relevant experience.
  • Experience working with naval clients or in a defence consultancy environment.
