Braille Support Worker urgently required to support VI students
Based in East London
The successful candidate will have experience as a Learning Support Assistant or Support Worker working alongside younger adults or children with additional needs.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the sensory department, you will be working with a variety of learners and be expected to meet standards of work
- Delivering support to learners
- Extensive knowledge of Braille
- Experience working with VI & disabilities
- Early years, primary, secondary or adult experience

Requirements:
- DBS registered to the update service
- Experienced Learning Assistant or Support Worker with extensive knowledge of Braille
- English & Maths GCSE or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of Braille or MOON
- Flexible approach to working
- Immediately available or January 2021
- Excellent behaviour management
- Current DBS on the update service
- SEN Classroom experience
- Working with primary or secondary aged students
- Full UK driving License
This is a full time/long term position and will lead to permanent if successful.
