Primary Care Mental Health Manager
Ards & North Down GP Federations wish to appoint a Primary Care Mental Health Manager.
Salary: £62,215- £72,293 per annum (pro-rata).
Hours: 26.25 hours per week (0.7 WTE), with potential for future increase to full time hours.
Location: Ards & North Down Federation areas.
While this is a direct appointment a secondment may be considered initially (subject to employer approval). The role is expected to be reviewed after the first year, with the possibility of increasing hours depending on business need and successful candidate preference.
Job purpose
This senior leadership role is responsible for the strategic direction, clinical oversight and operational management of a GP based mental health service, ensuring alignment with the regional MDT delivery framework. The post holder will lead and support a team of senior mental health practitioners working within general practice, delivering a holistic model of care focused on physical, mental and social wellbeing, with strong emphasis on prevention and early intervention. As the most senior mental health professional in the service, they will operate with significant autonomy and be directly accountable to the Federation Board.
