Machine Shop Labourer

Denham 26,500 Permanent Days


We're recruiting a Machine Shop Labourer for a globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham. You'll be responsible for keeping the CNC machining area clean, safe, and organised - essential work that keeps production running smoothly.


What you'll be doing:

  • Maintaining a clean and tidy machine shop environment (sweeping, cleaning, emptying bins)
  • Removing and disposing of swarf bins from CNC machines into separate recycling skips (using pallet truck)
  • Cleaning machine sumps and removing coolant
  • Cleaning the exterior of CNC machines regularly
  • Reporting any coolant or oil leaks to maintenance
  • Keeping the yard area and walkways clear and safe
  • Following all H&S procedures including COSHH and risk assessments


What you need:

  • Experience with general industrial cleaning in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of recycling procedures (metals, plastics, etc.)
  • General H&S awareness in manufacturing settings
  • Basic IT skills
  • Forklift or pallet truck licence is desirable but not essential


No formal qualifications required - this is straightforward hands-on work keeping a busy machine shop running safely and efficiently.
