A contract position Outside IR35 Hybrid - 1-2 days on site. Our client is seeking a Mobile App Developer with expertise in .NET MAUI for a fixed-term contract role. This position is crucial in maintaining and advancing existing mobile applications that support vehicle telematics systems, which provide valuable insights for insurers and fleet operators to enhance road safety and driving efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and extend existing .NET MAUI mobile apps Implement planned features and bug fixes in MAUI and XAML Build and evolve user interfaces that align with established mobile UI patterns Collaborate with the backend team to define changes to supporting REST APIs Diagnose and resolve issues in live apps on iOS and Android Take responsibility for the build and submission process for the App Store and Google Play Write clear, maintainable code that supports collaboration Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives Work with product and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and agree on practical solutions Job Requirements: Production experience with .NET MAUI mobile apps, including diagnosing and fixing live issues Strong C# and .NET skills; comfortable working in an established codebase Solid understanding of XAML, MVVM, and common iOS/Android platform constraints Hands-on experience releasing apps to the App Store and Google Play Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows Experience working in an agile team Excellent communication skills to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical colleagues Pragmatic approach with good judgement on when something is 'good enough' Desirable Skills: Experience of Vehicle tracking, Fleet tracking, Blackbox Insurance Experience with Xamarin.Forms Awareness of backend domain code and business logic Knowledge of vehicle insurance telematics or fleet management Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD pipelines Experience using SQLite or other local mobile storage solutions Familiarity with push notifications and background services on iOS and Android What We Offer: Hybrid working (1-2 days/week onsite) Opportunity to impact real-world road safety and driving efficiency Autonomy with support from an experienced team Access to equipment, tools, and training resources

Mobile Applications Tester .net Maui / Mobile Apps tester - remote (see below) - 450 - 500 per day - Initially until end of March, but with further extensions The team works remotely, travel once per quarter to Edinburgh or Glasgow. Role to End of March initially in line with client work order but expect to be renewed Mobile Application Tester - .NET MAUI Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for a cross-platform .NET MAUI mobile application (Android/iOS and, where applicable, Windows). Execute functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across supported devices, OS versions, and form factors. Perform API testing (REST) to validate integration points between the mobile app and backend services. Validate UI/UX implementation against requirements and designs, including layout consistency, navigation flows, and error states. Test performance, responsiveness, stability, and reliability , identifying bottlenecks and platform-specific issues. Verify accessibility basics (e.g., screen reader labels, focus order, contrast) and usability considerations. Log, track, and triage defects with clear reproduction steps, evidence (screenshots/videos/logs), severity, and expected vs actual results. Collaborate closely with developers (MVVM-based codebase), product, and design to clarify requirements and support rapid iteration. Contribute to test automation (where applicable) and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines. Support release readiness by providing quality status reporting , risk summaries, and go/no-go input. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience testing mobile applications (manual and/or automated), ideally across both Android and iOS. Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks (preferably .NET MAUI or Xamarin.Forms) and typical mobile architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM) to test effectively alongside the dev approach. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail or similar). Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and understanding of REST concepts. Understanding of mobile QA practices : device/OS coverage, permissions, network conditions, offline/poor connectivity scenarios. Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work in an Agile delivery environment. Nice to Have Experience with UI automation for mobile (e.g., Appium) and/or .NET test frameworks (NUnit/xUnit). Ability to read basic C#/.NET code to aid debugging and collaborate with engineers working in the MAUI stack Experience with performance tooling (profiling, crash analytics) and interpreting log Experience testing accessibility to WCAG-informed standards on mobile.
