Field Based Commercial Gas Engineer

Express Recruitment are delighted to be representing Building Service Specialists based in Nottingham who are looking to hire a Field Based Commercial Gas Engineer on a full time permanent basis. The successful candidate will carry out annual services and scheduled maintenance visits along with completing required Gas Safety certificates and any other relevant documentation. You will install new heating and hot water systems, rectify faults with equipment and attend reactive call outs to plumbing jobs on request. You will also work to a 1 in 7 weeks callout standby rota.

Due to the nature of this role, a full clean UK driving licence is essential. As you will be field based throughout the UK and Midlands regions, it would be beneficial for candidates to be based around the areas of Coventry, Leicester or Birmingham.

In return, they are offering a competitive salary of up to c£45,000 per annum D.O.E alongside a generous benefits package including door to door overtime paid at time and a half, callout standby pay, company van and fuel card. Potential on-target earnings reach up to c£55,000 per annum!

• Carry out annual and scheduled maintenance visits
• Complete Gas Certificates and relevant documents on completion of work
• Install new heaters and hot water systems
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and rectify faults to equipment and systems
• Contact manufacturers to query technical faults and warranties for parts and materials
• Attend reactive call out plumbing jobs on request
• Work to a 1 in 7 weeks callout standby rota

• Time served and qualified Gas Engineer with Commercial experience being essential
• Experience working with air handling and ventilation systems
• Excellent communication and self-motivated to complete work to highest standard
• COCN1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CCN1, CEN1, CPA1, CKR1, CENWAT1, G3 (Unvented Hot Water Heaters), IPAF and PASMA qualifications are all essential
• Comfortable working away from home every so often for required service visits

• Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm (Overtime available)
• Salary: Up to c£40,800 per annum (Up to £55k O.T.E)
