Job Description:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Locum Practice Nurse to join a well-established GP surgery in Carlisle. The surgery is looking for a reliable and professional nurse to carry out a variety of duties in their treatment room, including chronic disease management and other general practice nursing responsibilities. The role is flexible on the days worked, with hours from 08:00 AM 06:30 PM, and will be ongoing, starting in mid-February.
Key Responsibilities:

Chronic disease management (diabetes, asthma, hypertension, etc.)

General treatment room duties, including wound care, immunisations, and cytology

Supporting the GP team with patient care and health assessments

Administering vaccines and carrying out screening tests

Documenting and updating patient records
Requirements:

EMIS Web trained (essential)

At least 6 months UK-based experience working as a Practice Nurse in a GP surgery setting

Sound knowledge of chronic disease management and treatment room procedures

Excellent communication skills and patient care focus

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
