This role places you at the heart of a cutting edge project. Our modern FPSO, the Petrojarl Rosebank, will be deployed to the Rosebank oil and gas field to produce and store hydrocarbons. The Rosebank development has been optimised to reduce carbon emissions and the FPSO will be prepared for future electrification. The vessel is currently undergoing life extension work, modifications for field specifics and enhanced energy efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities: We are looking for our next Marine Control Room Operator. The Marine Control Room Operator (MCRO) shall assist the Marine Supervisor in their functions, perform any duties assigned by them and undertake marine operations and routine maintenance within their area of the unit. The MCRO is responsible for maintaining the stability of the asset and shall assist the Marine Supervisor in their functions to ensure operational uptime whilst maintaining compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. They shall ensure that the day-to-day activities of the team are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the company HSEQ policies. Ensure that all activities are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements, and relevant management systems. Perform duties as assigned by line manager. Planning and executing of loading and discharge plans. Monitoring of Stability computer to ensure adherence to plans and within operational limits. Control, receive, store and discharge crude oil cargo and slops, complying with all the working and reporting procedures. Ensure the quality of the Cargo, minimising the quantity of free water present in the cargo. Monitor all traffic in the area to mitigate the risks of collision and control all vessels within the 500m zone. Ensure mooring system is maintained within pre-defined parameters. Monitoring of weather and alert other departments as required. Monitors the inert gas pressure and oxygen content of cargo tanks. Monitor the overall safety related to Fire & Gas systems. Operation of GMDSS panel and act as asset interface for visiting vessels. Helicopter Operations as per procedure Assist with planning and execution of marine work scopes (Tank Confined Space Entry/Anchor Chains/Crane/etc) Assist other departments professionally and informatively. Act as Isolation Authority and Verifier - Marine Systems.
