Type: Contract, 6 months initial
Salary/Rate: €75 105/hour depending on experience
Are you passionate about high-voltage inverter design and cutting-edge motor control? We re working with a well-established company in the industrial automation and drive systems sector and we're hiring a contract Power Electronics Engineer to assist with new projects in 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation AC drives and motor control solutions that support industrial energy efficiency and system reliability worldwide.
In this role, you ll be involved in: - Designing and optimising high-power inverter topologies (up to 800V / 300kW), using SiC MOSFETs and high-efficiency switching strategies.
- Developing advanced gate driver circuits with isolation, desaturation, and overcurrent protection (UCC217xx / UCC2588xx).
- Creating DC/DC power conversion solutions using flyback, push-pull, and resonant (LLC) designs for compact, thermally efficient systems.
- Performing system-level simulation and fault modelling in tools like PSIM, focusing on SPWM, torque control, and inverter loss analysis.
- Collaborating on EMC-compliant PCB layout (Altium) with a focus on safety, signal isolation, and compliance with IEC standards.
- Supporting design-for-manufacture (DFM) and safety compliance (ISO26262 or equivalent).
You ll bring: - Strong experience in power electronics ideally with a focus on industrial drives, inverter systems, or automotive powertrains.
- Hands-on skills in high-voltage design, gate driver development, and sensor integration.
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as PSIM, LTspice, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Understanding of creepage/clearance, EMI/EMC mitigation, and standards-driven design.
- Experience working on safety-critical systems and performing derating/reliability analysis (e.g. NASA, MIL, ISO standards) is a bonus.
- Fluency in English (Swedish is a plus but not essential).
