A welcoming and community focused primary school in Banbury are seeking a new teaching assistant to join their learning support team this term. Within this role you would be supporting children who require additional support in core subject attainment, specifically within English, literacy and reading.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to gain hands-on, practical experience by assisting the class teacher with the teaching and learning of English to children in a small group and 1:1 basis.

Key responsibilities of the English graduate role:

• Supporting the class teacher during lesson time
• Identifying areas where students need additional support in core subjects
• Tailoring activities to suit specific needs
• Liaising with the SENCo and Class teacher, reporting feedback and learning progress
• Using effective behaviour management strategies

This is a great opportunity for candidates who are looking to become an English or primary teacher in the future and want to gain practical experience prior to starting teacher training qualifications.

Experience with tutoring or working with primary aged children is desirable but not compulsory.
