Our client is looking for a Service Engineer to join their busy team. The Service Engineering will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on site utilities and services.
- Perform inspections, condition monitoring, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
- Implement improvements to plant and equipment to enhance reliability and performance.
- Record all maintenance activities accurately within the maintenance management system.
- Develop and update planned maintenance schedules and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and inspection requirements.
- Maintain inspection, servicing, and certification records for site services systems.
- Manage critical spare parts and coordinate stock levels with engineering stores.
- Provide mechanical support to wider engineering teams as required.
- Support new installations, upgrades, and small engineering projects.
Skills and Experience
- Qualified in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with industrial plant and site services equipment such as boilers, compressors, heating systems, and water treatment.
- Strong mechanical skills with basic electrical knowledge.
- Able to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and maintain equipment safely.
