Freight Coordinator

Location: Newcastle
Salary: 27,000 - 40,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Holidays: 25 days + benefits package

Working hours - business hours including flexible finish on Fridays

Are you an experienced Freight Coordinator / Freight Forwarder looking to join a business that's going places?

If you have experience in Sea Freight, Air Freight, Road Freight or Multimodal within a freight forwarding environment, this is a genuine career-defining opportunity with long-term progression.

You'll be responsible for managing shipments end-to-end while delivering outstanding service to key accounts.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day import and export shipments (Sea, Air, Road & Multi-modal)

• Handle key blue-chip accounts and deliver exceptional customer service

• Raise and manage job files and shipping documentation

• Invoice jobs on completion

• Negotiate with suppliers, carriers and partners

• Work closely with the sales team on quotations and shipment updates

• Process jobs using the company's in-house freight management system

Essential experience:

• Proven experience working for a Freight Forwarder

• Strong knowledge of at least one of the following:

  • Sea Freight

  • Air Freight

  • Road Freight

  • Multi-modal Freight

  • Customs / Import / Export
