Up Front Recruitment are working with a long-established civil engineering and surfacing contractor to recruit an experienced Plant Fitter. This is a stable, long-term opportunity supporting a well-maintained fleet used across highways, infrastructure, surfacing, and recycling projects.

The Role

As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of plant and equipment. The role combines planned maintenance with reactive fault finding to keep plant safe, compliant, and operational.

The position is largely site and depot based, with a company vehicle provided.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair construction plant and equipment

• Diagnose

• Carry out inspections and safety checks

• Attend breakdowns when required

• Complete service and repair documentation

• Maintain high health and safety standards

• Work closely with site teams to minimise downtime

Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Plant Fitter

• Background in civil engineering, highways, or surfacing plant

• Strong mechanical knowledge

• Ability to work independently and manage workload

• Full UK driving licence
