VNA Education is working with a high-performing secondary school to appoint an exceptional Head of History for April 2026.
This role offers a significant opportunity to provide strategic subject leadership, shape a high-quality curriculum and secure outstanding outcomes across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
The Role:
- Provide strategic leadership for History across the school
- Lead curriculum design, implementation and evaluation
- Drive consistently high standards of teaching, learning and achievement
- Use performance data to inform planning, intervention and improvement
- Develop, support and hold colleagues to account within the department
Ideal candidate:
- Qualified secondary History teacher with a strong record of impact
- Experienced subject leader or ready for senior responsibility
- Deep understanding of curriculum, assessment and pedagogy
- Confident in leading others and contributing to whole-school priorities
- Clear commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and high expectations
