Job Description

Electrician - Cornwall operational

Commercial - Renewables projects

Permanent position with a salary of £38,000 - £42,000 van, tools and fuel card.

A great opportunity to start a permanent operational role as a commercial electrician.
Work lists may vary from site to site. To plan, oversee, install and commission commercial on-site renewable energy and energy efficient systems. Working with a team or teams installing and possibly managing the installation and integration of renewable energy systems into commercial properties including:

  • Solar PV
  • Ground and air source heat pumps
  • EV Chargers
  • Energy Storage Systems

Day to day:

  • Installing and commissioning electrical systems.
  • Running cables
  • Working with inverters.
  • Communicate and work with design team, project managers, programming installation works.
  • Running smaller jobs independently.
  • To undertake risk assessments and to ensure that it is safe to work.
  • Liaising with clients, other members of staff or sub contractors on site.
  • Site safety, helping to maintain a safe working environment.
  • To bring any risks to the attention of the company management.
  • Complete all necessary job sheets, time sheets and other documentation as required.
  • To take responsibility of tools and equipment issued by the company.

Requirements:

  • A driving license is essential to this role.
  • You will be provided with a company van and fuel card.
  • NVQ or City & Guilds level 3.
  • 18th Edition.
  • JIB/ECS/CSCS card.
  • 2391 test and inspection (Preferable but not essential)
  • AM2 (Preferable but not essential)
  • Previous experience as an electrician is essential.
  • Previous experience within the renewables sector is essential.
  • Good timekeeping.
  • Good at dealing with clients.
  • To conduct ones self professionally at all times.
  • To maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
