A well-established and growing environmental consultancy is seeking an Ecologist to join its expanding team in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ecological professional to work on a diverse range of projects across the UK, contributing to meaningful work that supports biodiversity and sustainable development.
You will be involved in a wide variety of ecological projects, including ecological surveys, reporting, and client liaison. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological advice to support planning and conservation outcomes.
Salary of 30,000- 40,000 depending on experience

Exposure to a wide range of projects across multiple sectors
Carry out Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species surveys
Produce ecological reports, including PEAs, PRAs, and EcIAs
Provide ecological advice to clients and project teams
Support mitigation and enhancement strategies
Assist with project management and meeting deadlines
A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field
Experience working as an Ecologist or Assistant Ecologist in consultancy
Good knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
Experience with protected species and habitat surveys
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A full UK driving licence
