We are looking for a passionate Senior Buyer to join our head office Procurement team, who will report to our Head of Procurement & Supply Management. This role will primarily be responsible for supporting the business to drive cost effectivity, manage sourcing initiatives and ensuring through our procurement activity the Company's operational needs and compliance requirements are met, paying particular attention to price, risk, quality, delivery and TK Elevators procurement practices and governance.

As a Senior Buyer, your day to day will include:

  • Support the Head of Procurement in the delivery of agreed strategic objectives in line with the business requirements and procurement strategy.
  • Ensure continuous supply of required goods, materials, components, and services and ensure any supply chain risks that may impact the operation are communicated to the Head of Procurement.
  • Monitor market trends, and the supplier market to identify alternative sources of supply.
  • Maintain a high standard of Procurement Practice employing academic rigour in sourcing projects where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and team members
  • Analyse suppliers spend data regularly to identify cost saving opportunities and efficiencies that contribute to the savings plan.
  • Undertake in full any sourcing initiative on behalf of TK Elevator and manage them in line with Procurement Policy.
  • To work within the application of Cluster/Category Strategies and utilization of framework contracts / preferred suppliers where applicable.
  • Utilize standard TK Elevator OU processes to enable efficient and effective purchasing. Support Cluster/Category Management, Materials Management and Procurement
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Undertake the necessary due diligence on prospective vendors/subcontractors and manage the on-boarding process ensuring adherence to Procurement Policies and Procedures.
  • Undertake financial analysis on all new and business critical suppliers/subcontractors to TKE.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Senior Buyer, ideally in a relevant industry
  • MCIPS qualified or work towards
  • A strong understanding of procurement practices and processes
  • Good negotiation experience in complex commodities / projects
  • Good attention to detail, analytical and able to follow procedures
  • Strong skills using MS Office, databases, and eProcurement systems
  • Consistently works to deadlines
  • Strong organisational and people skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Highly motivated, reliable and hardworking
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
