EYFS Teacher - SEN (ASD) Specialist
Haringey, N17 (commutable from Crouch End, Muswell Hill, Wood Green, Hornsey, Bounds Green)
200- 270 per day (paid to scale)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, long-term (Permanent opportunity)

This role is perfect for a teacher who enjoys combining EYFS creativity with structured SEN practice - setting high expectations, adapting learning, and building strong relationships to ensure every child flourishes.

About the Role
As an EYFS Teacher with SEN focus you will:

  • Lead a nurturing Reception class within an SEN inclusive environment, with particular emphasis on supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional communication needs.
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate outstanding EYFS teaching rooted in Early Years pedagogy and therapeutic approaches.
  • Design engaging, differentiated learning that supports communication, socialemotional development, sensory needs, early literacy and numeracy.
  • Use assessment effectively to inform next steps and personalise learning pathways.
  • Collaborate closely with SENCo, therapists, support staff and families to reflect best practice and maintain high expectations.
  • Model calm, adaptable and reflective practice, fostering a positive learning culture where children feel safe, valued and excited to learn.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with established experience in EYFS and SEN settings.
  • Proven track record of planning, delivering and evaluating highquality EYFS teaching.
  • Strong understanding of autism, sensory needs and differentiated curriculum approaches.
  • Energetic, creative, resilient and collaborative - excellent colleague and communicator.
  • Able to balance nurture and structure, challenge and support, for confident and vulnerable learners alike.
