Senior Building Surveyor

Senior Building Surveyor- Leeds.

Stoneridge Consulting are searching for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their client's Leeds-based team. This is a senior, client-facing position within a well-established building consultancy, offering the opportunity to lead projects, manage client relationships, and contribute to the development of a growing team.

The role suits a confident professional who enjoys taking ownership of instructions and delivering high-quality building consultancy services across a varied portfolio of projects.

The Role

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering professional building surveying services, including condition surveys, defect investigations, and technical reporting
• Leading refurbishment, maintenance, and remedial works projects from initial instruction through to completion
• Preparing specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation
• Providing strategic advice on asset condition, compliance, and lifecycle planning
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key technical point of contact
• Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors, graduates, and APC candidates

The Opportunity

This role offers a high level of autonomy, with responsibility for managing your own projects and client relationships. You will be trusted to work independently while remaining part of a close-knit and collaborative team. Strong organisational skills are essential, along with an interest in contract administration across full project lifecycles.

About You

Our client is looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
• MRICS status or active progress toward chartership
• Strong knowledge of UK construction methods and building pathology
• Proven experience within a building surveying consultancy
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to lead meetings and projects
