Role Overview:
As a Frontend Developer, you will deliver robust and secure digital applications as part of the Design & Delivery team, supporting and maintaining modern, standards-compliant, API-first frontend platforms for Glue Reply's blue-chip clients. Candidates must demonstrate extensive hands on technical experience and exceptional capability in frontend development. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to effectively collaborate and deliver high quality solutions for Glue Reply customers. This role is based in London.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and support scalable frontend products and solutions for continuous delivery into production environments.
- Develop integrations between various systems and applications to ensure seamless interoperability.
- Support, maintain, package, and deploy software in live environments as required.
- Transform requirements, workflows, and UX designs into functional, user friendly interfaces.
- Write high quality, well tested code that meets customer needs and project requirements.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using strong technical expertise.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical issues across domains, offering effective solutions.
- Lead and collaborate with small teams, working directly with clients and internal teams, facilitating meetings, and supporting technical and business functions.
About the candidate:
- Proficient in HTML5, SCSS, and developing RESTful APIs using an API first approach.
- Knowledgeable about W3C standards and committed to building accessible, internationalized, privacy and security compliant systems.
- Experienced with distributed systems, Azure/AWS infrastructure, external system integrations, and performance tuning for scalable, high availability services.
- Skilled in SDLC best practices (TDD/BDD, code reviews, design documentation), testing frameworks (Jest, Nightwatch, Mocha), and Agile methodologies.
- Proficient with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Git.
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills; able to collaborate effectively within teams and with clients.
- Eager to mentor junior engineers, contribute to team growth, and maintain up to date technical knowledge and high quality standards.
