The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team, supporting the delivery of new build projects from pre-construction through to final account. The role will involve close collaboration with site teams, subcontractors and senior management to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
Managing all commercial aspects of new build construction projects
Preparing and monitoring project budgets and cost plans
Procuring and managing subcontractor packages
Valuing works, processing applications and managing variations
Preparing interim valuations, final accounts and cost reports
Ensuring effective cost control and risk management throughout the project lifecycle
Liaising with site and project teams to maintain programme and commercial performance
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Quantity Surveyor will have:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within new build construction
Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement and contract administration
Experience working on residential and/or commercial new build projects
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and organisational skills
Relevant construction or commercial qualification (preferred)
What's on Offer
Salary of 45,000 - 55,000 depending on experience
