Music Teacher Secondary School near Andover, Hampshire

Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long-Term until July (with potential to become permanent) Pay: £165 £245 per day (dependent on experience) Working Hours: 8:00am 4:00pm Full-Time

Position Overview

A secondary school located near Andover is seeking a Music Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time role running until the end of July, with a strong possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.

You ll play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop confidence, creativity, and a love for performance within a supportive and forward-thinking department.

What You ll Be Doing

  • Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4, adapting lessons for mixed abilities.
  • Planning and delivering practical, engaging lessons that inspire creativity and musical expression.
  • Leading or supporting extracurricular activities such as choirs, ensembles, or school performances.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Creating a classroom culture of enthusiasm, respect, and achievement.
  • Working closely with a welcoming Music department and contributing to whole-school initiatives.

What We re Looking For

  • A qualified teacher with UK QTS (or on the path to gaining QTS).
  • Experience teaching Music across KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for Music and inspiring young learners.
  • Commitment to high standards and safeguarding.
