Job Title: Architectural Job Runner CIAT/ ARB

Location: Birmingham

Salary: 37-42,000 DOE

A well-established, design-led architectural practice based in the UK is seeking an experienced Job Runner to join its growing team. The practice delivers high-quality, considered architecture across a broad range of sectors, including residential, commercial, community, education, healthcare, heritage, high-security, industrial and leisure projects. This role offers the opportunity to take responsibility for running projects across key stages, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, and contributing to the successful delivery of technically robust and well-designed buildings within a collaborative studio environment.

Daily Duties

  • Running projects independently or as part of a wider project team
  • Coordinating design and technical information from concept through to completion
  • Producing and overseeing detailed technical and construction drawing packages
  • Managing consultant coordination and information flow
  • Liaising directly with clients, contractors and local authorities
  • Attending and leading project, design team and site meetings
  • Ensuring projects are delivered in compliance with current building regulations, standards and sector-specific requirements


Ideal Candidate

  • ARB-registered Architect or CIAT-accredited Architectural Technician/Technologist
  • Proven experience in a Job Runner role within UK practice
  • Strong technical knowledge and detailing ability
  • Confident in managing projects and coordinating consultants
  • Proficient in relevant architectural software (e.g. AutoCAD and/or Revit)
  • Solid understanding of UK planning processes and building regulations
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of project delivery
