Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - Psychology Specialist Location: Chorley, Lancashire School: Specialist ASC School (Primary through Secondary) Salary: .89 per day (Dependent on experience) Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Are you a Psychology Graduate looking to launch your career in Education or Clinical Practice? We are seeking a passionate, resilient, and empathetic Psychology Graduate to join our dedicated team in Chorley . This is a unique opportunity to work within an Outstanding specialist setting, supporting pupils aged 4-19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated sensory or communication needs. This role is the perfect "stepping stone" for those aspiring to become Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, or Clinical Professionals. The Role: Impact & Responsibility As a Graduate SEN TA, you won't just be "helping out"-you will be applying your academic knowledge to real-world behavioural and developmental scenarios. 1:1 Support: Work closely with specific pupils to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Behavioural Support: Use positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques (Team Teach training provided). Progress Tracking: Monitor emotional regulation and social development, providing feedback to the SENCO. Therapeutic Integration: Assist in delivering Speech & Language and Occupational Therapy interventions. Why This School in Chorley?
