Legal and Compliance Counsel

We are looking for a full-time Legal and Compliance Counsel with experience in the financial services industry to help build and support the Legal and Compliance function at Validus. This position is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to join a growing business and to develop their career within a dynamic team spanning finance and technology.

• A qualified solicitor (England and Wales) with approximately 2 years' post-qualification experience in legal and compliance roles within the financial services sector.
• Demonstrate strong contractual drafting and analytical skills, combined with pragmatism and business sense.
• Be able to translate complex legal or factual issues into plain English language communications.
• Have a strong sense of ownership and drive to push complex legal matters forward to completion.
• Work effectively with cross-functional and remote teams in a collaborative manner and be able to perform and deliver results under pressure.
• At least 5 years' experience in financial services environment, preferably in legal and Compliance.
