Job Description

Data Privacy/Data Protection Lawyer

We are currently seeking a Data Privacy/Data Protection Lawyer to work with various Axiom clients across all industries.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in house legal advice on privacy, data sharing, and EU AI Act compliance, assessing implications for new product offerings; draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements with a focus on information law clauses, ensuring alignment with EU DSA regulations.
  • Draft and advise on data protection related documentation, including data processing agreements, data transfer agreements, data subject access requests, and data privacy impact assessments.
  • Provide guidance on new compliance reporting and data tracking requirements, aligning with the EU AI Act and EU DSA; oversee revisions to internal codes of conduct, ensuring adherence to the latest UK and EU privacy laws, including the Data Protection Directive, GDPR, and relevant regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Good academic credentials and post qualification experience (2 8 PQE preferred).
  • In house legal experience (directly, or as a secondee) or strong law firm experience supporting large corporations.
  • Strong commercial understanding, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Right to work in the UK and eligible to practice as a lawyer in the UK.
