Telemetry Outstation Developer
Role Description
The Telemetry Outstation Developer is a permanent role within the ICT Function. The role entails the configuration, commissioning and updating of telemetry outstations and hardware at both staffed and remote sites and maintenance of the central regional Telemetry system.
Telemetry and SCADA are fundamental to NIW's operational capabilities. These systems provide NIW with remote monitoring and control at over 3,000 of the organisations Water and Sewerage installations. This is essential to NIW to ensure the optimum operation of plant, and to demonstrate that quality control monitoring meets the directives laid down by NIEA and DWI. Telemetry coverage is being extended and may rise to 5000+ locations.
Telemetry Outstation Developers work closely with various internal NIW functions, (including Operations and Engineering Teams), and external bodies including consultants and contractors.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. A NVQ Level 5 (HND, DipHE or equivalent) qualification in a technology or electrical subject AND a minimum of one years' technical experience of Schneider Electric's Telemetry Application GeoSCADA or another Operational Technology / Industrial Control System application, including configuring logic, developing mimics and reports.
OR
A minimum of three years' technical experience of Schneider Electric's Telemetry Application GeoSCADA or another Operational Technology / Industrial Control System application, including configuring logic, developing mimics and reports.
OR
A NVQ Level 5 (HND, DipHE or equivalent) qualification in a technology or electrical subject AND a minimum of one years' technical experience working with Telemetry outstations (Remote Telemetry Units) including:

A minimum of three years' technical experience working with Telemetry outstations (Remote Telemetry Units) including:
2. A full current driving license and access to a form of transport to enable the candidate to fulfil their responsibilities.
3. Use of Microsoft office including word and excel, and Teams or equivalent software.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
In the event of a large number of applications, in the first instance, candidates may be short-listed on the following desirable criteria:
1. Knowledge and understanding of water and Waste Water treatment processes and controls / M&E assets.

Salary
This band 5 role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £35,354 - £47,138 per annum (pay award pending)
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale. Salaries are reviewed annually effective 1st April.
