AboutYou'll lead the delivery of structural engineering projects across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, residential, industrial, education, and mixed use developments. This role offers autonomy, client exposure and the chance to influence both project outcomes and team development.
Key responsibilitiesLead structural design work in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
Oversee project delivery from concept through to construction
Prepare and review calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports
Manage client relationships and contribute to business development
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
Conduct site inspections, assessments, and progress reviews
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practice
We're looking for someone confident, technically strong, and ready to take ownership of their work. Ideally, you will have:
A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
Chartered status (IStructE or ICE) or nearing chartership
Significant experience delivering structural designs across multiple materials
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proficiency with structural design software (e.g., Tekla Tedds, Robot, Revit)
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
The ability to manage projects, deadlines, and client expectations effectively
