Strip Fitter - Nights

kolt recruitment are looking for a met technician / strip fitter (nights) to join a busy and well-established accident repair centre based in Grays. this is a great opportunity for an experienced strip fitter who can work efficiently overnight, keeping the workflow moving and ensuring vehicles are stripped and refitted to a high standard.

key responsibilities

• carry out met strip and fit on a range of vehicles within the bodysho
• remove and refit mechanical, trim and electrical components safely and correctly
• identify additional damage and report findings to the estimating team
• complete repairs in line with manufacturer standards and bodyshop procedures
• ensure all parts are stored, labelled and handled correctly
• work closely with panel and paint teams to maintain efficiency overnight
• keep the work area clean, safe and organised at all times

requirements

• proven experience as a met technician / strip fitter within an accident repair centre
• confident removing and refitting mechanical, trim and electrical components
• good understanding of modern vehicle systems and repair methods
• strong attention to detail with a quality-driven approach
• ability to work independently and meet targets on night shift
• ata / nvq qualifications beneficial but not essential
