Adecco
Junior Executive Assistant
Adecco City, London
Junior Executive Assistant / Operations Support Contract: 12-month FTC (February 2026 - February 2027) Location: Monument, London Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (fully office-based, minor flexibility for appointments) Salary: 29,000 - 39,000 (targeting around 34,000) About the Company: A small, dynamic start-up with 16 employees operating across multiple entities within mortgages and insurance. The business facilitates 100% mortgages and provides insurance solutions. The mortgage arm is revenue-generating and works with approximately 20 vendors, while the insurance division is currently in its foundational stage, preparing for future growth. Role Overview: This is a 12-month maternity cover position starting mid-February. The role supports the COO and wider leadership team with operational and administrative tasks during a period of transition and growth. While some responsibilities will remain with the current Operations Manager during KIT days, this role is critical for maintaining smooth day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities: Provide administrative and project support to the COO, including data migration tasks. Manage executive communications: scheduling meetings, sending agendas, email follow-ups, and reminders. Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes for monthly and quarterly meetings. Liaise with the legal team to transcribe and review minutes using provided templates. Oversee general office management, including stock control and landlord liaison. Assist with organising company events and office incentives. Handle HR administration tasks such as policy updates and annual leave requests. Support the team of 16 across multiple entities, addressing operational needs arising from recent restructuring. Limited involvement with the insurance division, primarily for board meetings. Adapt to a fast-paced, reactive environment where priorities may shift daily. Work closely with the COO while managing own workload independently. Ideal Candidate Profile: Previous experience in a start-up or similar fast-paced environment. Highly proactive and capable of self-management. Strong attention to detail, comfortable with technical and legal terminology. Quick learner with resilience to changing priorities and imperfect processes. Proficient in SharePoint and Excel. Comfortable working independently and driving tasks forward. Adaptable and not easily overwhelmed by external pressures. Team Culture: The environment is collaborative and hands-on, requiring flexibility and initiative. You'll work closely with senior leadership who value pragmatism and efficiency. The role will evolve over time, so adaptability is key. Interview Process: Preferred: In-office interview with senior leadership. May include one or two stakeholders depending on availability. Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers. The Adecco Group UK & Ireland is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
