About the OPPORTUNITY -Within a team environment, the Training Specialist is responsible for providing specialist advice and guidance to Number 1 Remote Sensor Unit (1RSU) and Surveillance and Control Training Unit (SACTU) Defence staff; in particular, the development, facilitation and delivery of training programs that enhance 1RSU's operational effectiveness.
This role will see you working within a small team to answer ad-hoc questions, provide training sessions and develop training content for the 1RSU Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) Over the Horizon Radar (OTHR) system.
It will be critical that the successful individual has 1RSU experience to be successful in this role. An expectation of current or past qualifications in this field will be mandatory as well as the continued development and qualifications in the system.
For this role you will be required on-site in SA, RAAF Base Edinburgh to perform the duties of this role. There may be some flexible working options available on limited occasions.
