RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled 1:1 SEN Tutor to provide tailored support in Functional Skills, Maths, and English. You will work with learners with a variety of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, global developmental delay, and communication difficulties. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys adapting lessons to individual needs and making a real difference in a student's learning journey.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver personalised 1:1 tuition in Maths, English, or Functional Skills
Adapt lesson plans to each student's learning profile, EHCP, or identified support needs
Foster trust, engagement, and confidence through a calm and consistent approach
Work with learners both in and outside the classroom setting
Liaise with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure consistent and coordinated support
Minimum of 1 year's experience supporting children or young people with SEN in an educational or therapeutic setting
Experience teaching or supporting Functional Skills and/or core subjects (Maths or English)
Right to work in the UK
Must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS
SEN qualification, ABA experience, or training in Autism / Social Communication strategies
PGCE or QTS
Previous experience in alternative provision or working outside of a traditional classroom environment
