Project & Stakeholder Management • Work with multidisciplinary teams (network engineers, software developers, mission operators) to ensure cohesive technical delivery. • Engage with commercial and defence customers to capture needs, present solutions, and gain buy-in at formal reviews. • Contribute to bids and proposals by defining engineering approaches, resource estimates, and technical content Required qualifications to be successful in this role Essential: • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. • Minimum 5 years of experience in the space, SATCOM, or defence sector. • Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering across the full lifecycle, including: • Strong knowledge of satellite communications systems (space and ground segments), architectures, and operations. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels. • Requirements management (DOORS, Jama, or equivalent). • Design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR). • Verification and validation (FAT, SAT, integration testing). Desirable: • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, or Defence-related discipline. • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it. • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and approaches (SysML, Cameo, Capella). • Experience working on both commercial satellite programmes and MoD/defence projects. • Knowledge of mission assurance, safety, and reliability engineering in aerospace. In this vital role, you will be responsible for generating, preparing, and assigning job packs for our Engineers. You will also allocate work to gangs, close out completed jobs on our cloud-based internal system and arrange customer appointments for job completion. An understanding of utility drawings (e.g. Gas, Electrical) is advantageous. Your input will be valued in improving our records and processes, as well as contributing to the development of new systems and procedures to enhance performance and efficiency. Your working hours will be 40 hours per week , Monday to Friday.
