Electrical Engineer Healthcare Contract (Surrey)

Location: Surrey
Contract Type: Full-time / Healthcare Facilities
Salary: £42,000
Shift: Days 8 00
Start Date: Immediate

We are working closely with a technical service provider who is seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Engineer to join their team supporting a major healthcare contract in Surrey. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong technical capability, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining safe, reliable electrical systems within a critical clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a wide range of electrical systems within healthcare facilities
  • Ensure compliance with HTM, statutory regulations, and best-practice safety standards
  • Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective solutions with minimal disruption to clinical operations
  • Support project works, system upgrades, and equipment installations
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with estates and facilities teams to maintain first-class service levels

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • Experience working in healthcare, hospitals, or other complex facilities (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of compliance, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Excellent communication and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
