Associate or Supervising Associate - Hedge Funds - 1-5 Years PQE
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £70,000 to £120,000 (DOE)
A leading international law firm is seeking an Associate or Supervising Associate (1 5 PQE) to join its highly regarded Hedge Funds team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a top tier practice advising fund managers, institutional investors and financial institutions across the full spectrum of hedge fund structures, asset classes and jurisdictions.
Role
- Advising on the formation and launch of open ended hedge funds across multiple jurisdictions
- Drafting and negotiating fund documentation, including LPAs, IMAs, side letters and service provider agreements
- Supporting clients with regulatory and tax considerations, including AIFMD, MiFID II and other sectoral regulation
- Working on bespoke structures such as funds of one, parallel vehicles and joint ventures
- Assisting with global fund registrations and cross border compliance
- Negotiating IMA/SMA arrangements for institutional managers
- Providing strategic, commercially focused advice to a sophisticated asset management client base
This role offers exposure to market leading work and the opportunity to develop deep expertise in hedge fund formation and investment management regulation.
Candidate Requirements
- 1 5 years' PQE in hedge funds, investment management or wider funds work
- Strong technical knowledge of hedge fund formation, ideally including offshore domiciles, Ireland or Luxembourg
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
- Experience advising asset managers, financial institutions or investment platforms
- A commercial, client focused mindset with confidence engaging in business development
- High levels of motivation, energy and ambition to grow a long term practice
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse and inclusive team
