Cambian Hartlepool School is looking for an inspiring Art Teacher to lead Art across the school and contribute teaching any other subjects. You will teach small classes in a nurturing, trauma-informed environment, helping young people aged 11-17 with SEMH needs to re-engage, grow and succeed.

Who we are:

Cambian Hartlepool School is an independent, DfE-registered, co-educational day school, providing specialist education for up to 18 students, aged 11-17 years.

Hartlepool School and vocational centre exists in order to provide academic and learning opportunities for students who have previously struggled in mainstream schools. Students placed here will normally have recognised social, emotional and behavioural attributes (SEMH). The School provides a nurturing environment that is set up to meet the individual needs of these students.

Person Specification

  • Recognised subject-specific qualification.
  • Knowledge of Art and/or additional subject (Science or Maths advantageous).
  • Understanding of effective teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge of SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Driving licence (where minibus driving is required).
