Job Role: Security Officer

Working Hours: 12:00-00:00, 4 on 4 off - average 42 hours per week

Pay: £12.80 per hour

Reporting to: Contract Manager

Overview

An exciting opportunityhas arisen at Anchor Group Services, for anexperienced Security Officer to join our established securityteam based at Trafford Palazzo.

As a Security Officer, youwill be responsible for conducting regular patrolsthroughout the shopping centre, monitoring activity toensure a safe and secure environment for all visitors andstaff.You will respond promptly to incidents, liaiseprofessionally with members of the public and site management,and maintain accurate records in line with operationalprocedures. A strong presence, attention to detail, andcommitment to upholding site security standards areessential.

The successful candidate musthave a valid SIA Licence as a minimum and previoussecurity experience is essential. Candidates should alsodemonstrate flexibility with working hours and possess theability to work effectively both independently and as part of ateam.

Dutiesinclude:

• Protecting theclient's property, people and/or assets by providingsecurity services in direct accordance with the sitespublished Assignment Instructions (AI's) and site-specificprocedures
  
• Preventing lossesand damage by reporting irregularities; informing offendersof policy and procedures
  
• Preventing andescalating incidents in a timely, accurate and appropriatemanner to the Control Room/ Shift Manager/OperationsManager/Emergency Services as appropriate for seriousincidents
  
• Operating andmonitoring site CCTV equipment
  
• Completingreports by recording observations, information, occurrences,and surveillance activities
  
• Maintainingorganisation's stability and reputation by complying withlegal requirements
  
• Contributing toteam effort by accomplishing related results asneeded
  
• Acting as a firstline support to customers and visitors on site, providing aprofessional and friendly service
  
• Understandingthe needs of our customer, respond accordinglyto customer queries and requests and takeappropriate action
  
• Maintainingprofessional conduct at all times
  

• Full5-year employment checkable history
  
• Validfrontline SIA licence DS or SG
  
• CustomerService experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correctmanner
  
• Flexibleto meet the job requirements
  
• Excellentcommunication skills both written and verbal
