Humanities & Religious Education Teacher

Specialist Independent
Location: Southwark
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time
Salary: 207- 321 per day

Tempest Resourcing is working in partnership with a Specialist Independent School for Girls to recruit a Humanities and Religious Education Teacher.

This is a rewarding opportunity to join a well-established specialist setting that supports girls with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) and associated learning needs, delivered through small class sizes and a highly supportive structure.

The Role:

  • Teach Humanities and Religious Education across relevant key stages
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Support pupils with SEMH through a consistent, trauma-informed approach
  • Contribute to EHCP targets, reviews, and multidisciplinary planning
  • Work closely with pastoral, SEN, and therapeutic teams

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Has experience teaching Humanities and/or RE
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in SEN, SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision is highly desirable
  • Is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
