CNC turners (programmer setter operators) required for expansion at this exceptional sub contract precision engineering company - Day Shift or Night shifts roles available (nights are Mon-Thursday 5pm-5am) The company produces complex, high-precision components for industries including Formula One, aerospace and military applications, machining a wide range of metals to extremely tight tolerances. If you're a machinist who wants to work with the best new equipment and resources on often complex parts then is the opportunity you've been looking for. Program, Set and operate CNC lathes running Fanuc controls. Load programmes, set tooling and adjust offsets to achieve correct dimensions. Produce high-precision turned components in a range of metals. Work to tight tolerances and complex geometries from detailed drawings. Perform first-off and in-process inspections, maintaining quality throughout the batch. Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and right-first-time output. Work closely with production, programming and quality teams. Keep machines and work area clean, safe and well organised. Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and cycle times. The CNC Turner role: With the Senior leadership team focusing on business growth, the company is expanding its manufacturing operation at their Nottingham site through further shop floor investment. As a result, they have multiple permanent opportunities for experienced CNC Turner Setters on either: days and afternoons, (rotating,) or a fixed nightshift or fixed afternoons. Responsibilities: CNC Setting and operating Reading and working from engineering drawings. Working to tight tolerance and using quality measuring tools to check work. Working independently whilst maintain standards and project requirements. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining CNC machine and all associated equipment and machining area. Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar CNC Turner role to a setter or programmer level with advanced skills including the creation of programmes. Experience working with Mazak and Doosan Machines. Experience on Mazatrol or Fanuc Controls. Experience in high precision manufacturing environment. Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment such as verniers and callipers.
