Job Title: RTA Fee Earner

Location: 1210 Centre Park Square, Centre Park, Warrington, WA1 1RU

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day plus a 30-minute lunch

Job Description

We are now seeking an experienced Fee Earner to join Team A and manage a caseload of RTA Personal Injury claims. The role will involve progressing cases through the OIC Portal (Stages 1-3), with responsibility for some litigated matters as required. You will have the autonomy to manage your own files and apply sound legal judgment, delivering excellent client service and progressing claims efficiently to settlement.

Manage a caseload of RTA claimant matters from instruction to settlement
Progress claims through the OIC Portal, including Stage 3 hearings
Assess liability, set case strategies, and issue proceedings where necessary
Handle negotiations with third-party insurers and solicitors
Ensure accurate and timely use of the Proclaim case management system
Maintain high standards of compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct
Process your own billing and meet performance targets
Support junior members of the team where appropriate
Undertake any other duties as necessary

Person Specification

Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales), CILEX, or experienced Senior Fee Earner
Minimum 3 years' experience in RTA claimant personal injury work
Strong understanding of the OIC Portal processes
Confident handling litigated and non-litigated RTA files
Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills
Proficient in using Proclaim (or similar case management system)
Knowledge of infant claims and credit hire is desirable but not essential
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to solve problems, be proactive and make decisions effectively
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
