Job Description
Our client is a private independent garage based in York. Currently they are looking for an experienced Car Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday dayshifts
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance
- Repair and replace parts and components
- Conduct vehicle inspections and MOT prep (if applicable)
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and customer service
- Maintain clean and safe workshop practices
Requirements
- Proven experience as a car mechanic/automotive technician
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance (preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
