Role Overview:

We are seeking an innovative and detail oriented mid level Prompt Engineer & AI Engineer to enhance our AI driven applications. This role is crucial for designing, testing, and refining the prompts that power our large language models (LLMs) and for developing supporting Python based tools, often within collaborative environments like Replit. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of conversational AI, a creative mindset for problem solving, and a strong commitment to the evolving field of generative AI.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and refine high quality prompts to steer LLMs toward desired outputs and behaviours for key business applications.
• Conduct thorough analysis of model responses and perform iterative prompt engineering to improve accuracy, tone, and overall performance.
• Develop, test, and maintain Python scripts and applications, particularly within collaborative platforms like Replit, to support AI systems and streamline workflows.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate prompting strategies into user facing features and backend systems.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in prompt engineering techniques, LLM capabilities, and conversational AI research.
• Play a key role in building and maintaining a centralized library of best in class prompts and interaction patterns to ensure consistency and reusability.

Person Specifications: Core Qualifications (Must Haves)

• Experience: 2 3 years of hands on professional experience in an AI Engineer, ML Engineer, Data Scientist or Python development role with a focus on AI/ML applications.
• Prompt Engineering: Proven ability to design and iterate on prompts for real world LLM applications, with a strong portfolio of examples.
• Python Proficiency: Strong command of Python and its use in interacting with APIs and building applications.
• Collaborative Development: Experience using collaborative coding environments like Replit for rapid prototyping and team based projects.

Ideal Qualifications (Nice to Haves)

• API Integration: Practical experience integrating with third party APIs and services within AI workflows.
• AI Frameworks: Familiarity with AI development frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• Vector Databases: Understanding of or experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate) for managing embeddings.
• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud services for deploying and managing applications (e.g., Google Cloud Run, AWS Lambda) is a plus.
