Rate: £110 £140 per day

A well-regarded secondary school in Romford is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in Science and laboratory practice to support a busy and successful department.
About the Science Technician role:

Prepare and set up equipment, materials and chemicals for Science lessons

Support practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Ensure labs, prep rooms and equipment are maintained to a high standard

Follow all health and safety procedures, risk assessments and COSHH regulations

Provide technical assistance to teachers during practical sessions

Help manage stock levels and organise laboratory resources

Previous experience as a Science Technician (or strong transferable lab experience)

Good understanding of safe laboratory practice

Strong organisational and communication skills

Ability to work efficiently, independently and as part of a team
